Please be advised that the canal will be temporarily closed at Lock 1, Diglis to enable contractors to carry out a preliminary investigation of the offside paddle culvert, which is currently blocked. The closure is necessary to allow safe access for inspection works and to assess the condition of the culvert before any further remedial action is undertaken. It should only take a few hours to complete the inspection and refill the pound for navigation. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we undertake this investigation
