Waterway Notices / Camden Locks, 1B, Hampstead Road Lock

We will be carrying out essential repairs at Camden Lock 1B, including culvert unblocking, lock gate repairs, lockside repairs and replacement of the lock island fendering. To enable these works to be completed safely, Lock 1B will be closed and dewatered for the duration of the works.

Lock 1A will remain open and available for navigation throughout the works. As only one lock chamber will be available, you may experience delays and should allow extra time for your journey. There may also be temporary restrictions in place on Lock 1A at times during the works, although these will be kept to a minimum wherever possible. Temporary safety fencing will be installed on the lock island, reducing the available operating space, so please take extra care when using the lock and follow any instructions displayed on site. Please allow extra time for your journey and keep up to date with the latest notices.
