Updates
20 October 2026 at 14:16
Navigation is currently closed at Lock 44 on the Rochdale Canal due to the head gate paddle on the towpath side becoming stuck within the lock chamber.
Our local team have been out to site to carry out investigations and are now currently planning a method of repair.
An update will be provided on or before Friday 23 October.
