On reviewing the water levels this morning after the evening locking of the gates. It has been decided to keep Lock 7 and Lock 8 padlocked for the day to allow water levels to recover further still overnight. The water levels are low and reopening the locks today would deplete water levels further, needing a longer period of time to recover. The team will be closely monitoring the water levels and we will re assess the situation tomorrow.
