Third-party contractors will be on site at Hesketh Bank on the Ribble Link to replace flood valves and repair the banking.
The works will take place from 8 am on Thursday, 1 October, until 5 pm on Monday, 30 November 2026.
Navigation is still possible through the area and boaters should approach with caution and follow any advice given by the contractors.
