There will be vegetation management works under way on the 25th of September next to the access track to Whitley Lock, where it passes below the motorway bridge.
The work area will be fenced off and will not affect boaters, but visitors should be aware of the activity as they approach the area

From the 23rd September 2026 to 31st March 2027, contractors are working on behalf of National Highways to replace the eastbound parapet of the bridge. These works will not impact boaters on the navigation, so an advice notice only has been issued.
