Third-party contractors will be onsite at Lock 14 on the Peak Forest Canal on Thursday 17 September from 7.00am to Thursday 17 September 5pm to carry out investigations under the ground of the lock for any movement of the lock walls.
Signage will be in place for a footpath along the road adjacent to the lock which pedestrians can use.
Whilst the towpath is restricted, navigation remains open, however, we request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop to allow the equipment to be moved out the way for safe passage.
Please listen and take instruction from contractors on site.
