The towpath remains closed at Bridge 164 on the Lancaster Canal following a vehicle strike, which caused coping stones to fall onto the towpath.
Our engineers have visited the site, assessed the damage caused to the bridge and are finalising a safe method of repair.
A further update will be provided on or before Thursday 3 September.

The towpath is currently closed at Bridge 164 on the Lancaster Canal following a vehicle strike, which has caused coping stones to fall onto the towpath.
Our engineers have been informed and will attend site tomorrow to carry out an inspection to assess the extent of the damage so a method of repair can be planned.
