Third party contractors will be carrying out strengthening works to Winson Green Railway Bridge on the Soho Loop, New Mainline Canal. A pontoon is to be installed within the navigation and the works split into 2 phases.

Strengthening works above the towpath from a scaffold tower. A pontoon will be in place as a diversion for canal towpath users during towpath closure.

Strengthening works above the navigation using the pontoon and scaffold to access the underside of the bridge structure. The pontoon is to be positioned to allow waterway traffic to pass during the works.

Signage is to be placed both upstream and downstream of the works and pontoon locations, to notify boaters and tow-path users.
