Third‑party contractors will need to temporarily close the canal and towpath to complete works to the new bridge installed over the canal as part of the West Midlands Metro Extension project.
The closures will apply during night‑time working only, from 21:30 on 05/10/26 until 05:30 on 10/10/26.
Outside of these hours, both the canal and towpath will remain open as normal.
Please follow all on‑site signage and any instructions provided by the contractors.
