Please be advised there will be a temporary navigational closure between City Road Lock and Sturts Lock from 3pm on the 5th September until 9am on the 7th September. This temporary closure is being implemented to support our water conservation and water management efforts during the Angel Canal Festival. For more information, please see the notice here.

The towpath will remain open, as normal, but we kindly ask you to stay alert and proceed with care while passing through the area.

The Angel Canal Festival will be taking place on Sunday 6th September 2026 from 11:00am until 4:00pm on the Regent's Canal.

The event will take place between Bridge 38, Froglane Bridge to Bridge 40, Packington Square Bridge.

The towpath and navigation will remain open but we kindly ask you to stay alert and proceed with care while passing through the area.

The visitor moorings between these bridges will be suspended for the event on Sunday 6th September 2026 from 8:00am until 6:00pm. The moorings will be signposted.

This event is subject to water resources available closer the event date.
