Waterway Notices / Tamworth Road Bridge, Sawley

Contractors working on behalf of Derbyshire County Council will be carrying out bridge maintenance works at Tamworth Road Bridge, Sawley (///detect.exact.chain) from 8:00am on Monday 10 August until 5:00pm on Sunday 6 December.   To support these works, a site compound will be established on Canal & River Trust land between the bridge, the River Trent and the access track from Tamworth Road.   For safety reasons, pedestrian access along the riverbank in this area will be closed for the duration of the works, as it will form part of the active construction compound. Please follow all on-site direction and take extra care when travelling near the works area due to the increased presence of vehicles, equipment and construction activity.   Motorists should also be aware that traffic management measures may be in place on Tamworth Road, which could result in delays.
