We have instructed our contractors to make a repair as soon as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience.

Following the closure of Sherborne Wharf, we are aware that boaters may be looking for alternative pump out facilities in the Birmingham and Black Country area. The following services are currently available:

  • Engine Arm
  • Black Country Living Museum
  • Lyons Boat Yard - offers a pump out service seven days a week. Opening hours are 9am to 4pm, extending to 9am to 5pm from next week. The boatyard is located on the North Stratford Canal. Telephone 0121 474 4977. Further information is available via Lyons Boat Yard Ltd.
  • Coombeswood Canal Trust - provides a pump out service on the Dudley No.2 Canal. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm and weekends 10am to 4pm. Telephone 0121 550 1355. If this number is unavailable, an alternative contact number is 07386 903 077. Please be aware that the tunnel near Coombeswood (Gosty hill Tunnel) has limited clearance. Boaters with chimneys may need to remove them to pass through safely.
