Navigation is closed at Lock 42 offside on the Trent & Mersey Canal due to a suspected obstruction.
These planned works have been delayed while we await the delivery of the stop planks used on another job.
The towpath side of Lock 42 remains open, and navigation is still possible.
Our next update will be provided on Thursday, 30 April.

Please be advised that the offside at Lock 42 on the Trent & Mersey Canal remains closed due to a suspected obstruction.
The planned works have been delayed while we await delivery of the required stop planks, which are currently in use at another priority job.
The towpath side of Lock 42 remains open, and navigation is still possible.
Our next update will be provided on Wednesday, 25 March.

Please be advised that Lock 42 offside on the Trent & Mersey Canal remains closed due to a suspected obstruction.
The works were planned to take place alongside other emergency repairs; however, there has been a delay, and we are currently reviewing the schedule for these works.
Lock 42 (towpath side) remains open, and navigation is still possible.
The next update will be provided on Wednesday, 18 March.

Please be advised that Lock 42 Off Side on the Trent & Mersey Canal remains closed due to a suspected obstruction.
Our teams have investigated and the lock will need to be de-watered to facilitate the required work. We are currently planning the works around other ongoing emergency repairs. In our next update, we will be able to provide a confirmed date for when this repair will take place.
Lock 42 Towpath Side is open for navigation.
An update will be provided on or before Wednesday 11 March.

Please be advised that Lock 42 Off Side on the Trent & Mersey Canal remains closed due to a suspected obstruction preventing the gate from operating.
To carry out our investigations, we require stop planks which are currently in use at another location.
Lock 42 Towpath Side will still be open for navigation.
An update will be provided on Friday 20 February.
