We are still awaiting the results from the Environment Agency's investigations to identify the source of the pollution. The current containment methods will continue to be kept in place while this is ongoing.
This notice will be updated when we receive further information.

We continue to work closely with the Environment Agency to identify a source of the ongoing pollution. Containment measures must remain in place whilst investigations are ongoing.

There is further evidence of pollution entering the navigation so a clean up of the containment equipment cannot be completed at this time. The Environment Agency will be attending tomorrow (14th Jan) and our specialist contractors have been requested to attend site to carry out an investigation into the source of the ongoing pollution.

The clean up and reopening of the navigation is due to take place on Tuesday the 13th of January.

We are currently waiting for a date from our contractors as to when they are going to attend the site to assist us with the retrieval and disposal of the spill equipment.

We have assurance that there is no more pollution entering the canal and have a plan to clear up what remains over the next few days.
Once this is completed we will be able to reopen the navigation. This notice will be updated on Monday the 15th of December with a date.
We have a Pollution Incident in the navigation from a diesel spillage. We are currently working closely with the Environment Agency to locate the source of the diesel. We have placed booms and absorption pads around the diesel to prevent its spread. We will update the notice when we receive any further information.
