Please be advised that third-party contractors will be undertaking drilling works beneath the Tame Valley Canal. Equipment and machinery will be present on site, with excavation taking place to the rear of the towpath. The work area will be securely fenced off to ensure the safety of the public.
As part of the operation, a crane will be used to lift equipment across the canal at both the start and end of the works. No crane lifts will be carried out while navigation or towpath traffic is present.
Appropriate signage will be positioned both upstream and downstream of the work site, and banksmen will be in attendance to advise and direct boaters and towpath users as required.
