Third-party contractors will be installing scaffolding to refurbish and paint the gas pipe over the canal . A pontoon will be in place during the works but will be moved as necessary to allow the safe passage of boats. Signage will be installed both upstream and downstream of the work site to inform boaters and towpath users of the activity.
Please proceed with caution through the area and follow any signage or instructions given by the contractors.
