Waterway Notices / Vehicle collided with Misterton Wharf Bridge, Bridge 81 - fallen debris into navigation below

The remaining material will be removed by our workboat following completion of Gringley stoppage. We aim to have this removed by Friday 9th January and will confirm via an update to this notice.

Please continue to pass this bridge with care, keeping away from the towpath side edge as much as possible.

Workboats attended the site and were able to remove some debris and move the larger remaining pieces to the side. There is enough room for narrowboats to pass through but please pass with care.

We will update the notice when all the debris has been removed.

A navigation closure has been put in place due to a vehicle collision with Bridge 81, Misterton Wharf Bridge which has caused a lot of debris in the section underneath the bridge. We are looking to deploy a workboat to clear the debris. We will update the notice on Friday with further information.
