Our contractors are currently working to remove a large fallen tree located between Bridge 177 and Bridge 177A.
While the majority of the tree has now been cleared, a portion of the trunk still extends over halfway into the navigation.
For safety reasons, the navigation will remain closed until this remaining section has been cut back or fully removed.
We will provide further updates as soon as we receive more information from the contractors.

We have had a report of trees blocking both the towpath and navigation between Bridge 177 and 177a.
We will update this notice as soon as we receive any further information from the contractors. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the situation as safely and promptly as possible. (This notice replaces the previously closed notice.)
