We have successfully carried out the full repair to the gate paddle on Greens Lock 68 on the Erewash Canal -- and it is now fully operational. However, the topside gates won't open fully due to siltation...

We have successfully carried out the full repair to the gate paddle on Greens Lock 68 on the Erewash Canal -- and it is now fully operational. However, the topside gates won't open fully due to siltation. This means that widebeam boats will not be able to pass through the lock. We don't currently have any timescales for when this siltation will be removed. We will update this notice by 15th August or sooner if we have further information.
