Due to additional work identified while on site, this stoppage will be extended and is now planned to complete on 27 February.
During the course of the project, our team identified further brickwork repairs that were not included in the original scope. In addition, we found that the paddle frames and posts require further maintenance to ensure they continue to operate safely and reliably.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these essential works.

A navigation and towpath closure are required for top and bottom lock gate replacements. We will also be doing repairs to the lock ladders, kickers and wing wall.
