We are pleased to let you know that the works to the walkway have now been successfully completed, and Limehouse is once again fully open for passage.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential works were carried out.

During this period, Limehouse Lock will be closed to all passages while the works are carried out safely.

Please note that works to repair the damaged walkway will begin during the week commencing 17th August.

Contractors will be on site to carefully remove the existing walkway, with plans to have it reinstated in early October 2026.

Please be advised that due to extensive damage to the walkway we've had to close off access between ///added.invite.corn and ///shark.hangs.slower for the foreseeable. This only affects the Northern walkway and the southern one is still passable. This does not affect navigation.
