Contractors are looking to be on site in October to assist with the current condition of the bridge. Should we hear any further information, we will update the notice.

We have just been informed that the bridge has now collapsed on the side closest to HMP Doncaster.
Doncaster Council is currently enforcing a footpath closure in the area.
Please can boaters in the area be aware and avoid the bridge.
This notice will be updated on Monday, no later that 17:00

The towpath is currently closed due to structural damage to Cheswold Bridge, making it unsafe for use at this time.
We will provide updates once repairs have been scheduled.
