Due to the current high river levels at the moment, the works have been unable to have been carried out on Selby Road Bridge. We are hoping that the works will be able to be carried out by North Yorkshire Council at a later date when the water levels have receeded. We will update the notice on Wednesday 25th February 2026, with any further information received.

North Yorkshire Council have informed us that works are to be carried out on the Selby Road Bridge and will commence on the Wednesday 11th February and are hoping the works will be completed by Saturday 14th February. We will update the notice on the Monday 16th February with an update on the status of completion of the works.

We have been advised by North Yorkshire County Council that the Selby Bypass Swingbridge is not able to swing due to mechanical issues. Any vessel not requiring a swing can pass. For details of available headroom skippers should contact the bridge operator on 01757 703692 before planning passage. Contractors will be bringing parts and undertaking test swings on March 1st. North Yorkshire County Council will update us once the repairs are completed.
