Please be advised, the offside paddle at Lock 2 on the Glasson Branch remains out of use whilst we continue to prioritise emergency works required along the Lancaster Canal. Whilst the offside paddle at Lock 2 remains out of use, navigation is still possible using the towpath side paddle only. Original message Issued 4 October 2023: Please be advised, navigation is currently closed from Lock 1 to Lock 6 on the Glasson Branch of the Lancaster Canal due to vandalism. Our local team are currently carrying out remedial repairs to the lock flight.
