Description
We are experiencing low water levels on the Erewash Canal between Hallam Fields Lock 66 and Stanton Lock 65. This section is currently unnavigable.
We are carrying out water control measures to restore the levels but this will take some time.
Thank you for your patience in the interim.
We will update this Notice by Monday 7th April or sooner if we have more information.
Updates
We are pleased to advise that the water levels have now returned to normal and the canal is navigable.Please check our website (https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/notices) for any other restrictions to the navigation in this area.
4/9/2025Despite efforts to raise the water levels the canal here remains unnavigable.
Water control measures continue and we will update this notice as soon as we have further information.
