Description
Please be advised that the navigation and towpath at Trent Aqueduct on the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal will be closed on Monday 14th April, 8 AM to 3 PM only.
Debris has accumulated in the river section beneath Trent Aqueduct, putting pressure on the structure and restricting water flow. Contractors have been mobilised to remove the debris using floating plant.
To ensure the safety of contractors and the public, both the navigation and towpath will be closed in both directions to allow these essential works to proceed. We aim to minimise disruption and will reopen both the navigation and towpath as soon as the works are completed.
