Description
Please be advised the navigation will be restricted from the 21 April 2025 up to the 13 May 2025 to facilitate replacement of the lock balance beams. We had hoped to get this work done in the winter works period but unfortunately we haven't been able to resource the work alongside all the other works on the K&A. We will make every effort to complete the works in a shorter period. The added difficulty at this location is the crane boat that we need to use takes time to set up and take down in order to allow boats passage through the lock at regular times. We have sought to strike the balance between minimising disruption to boating and the time taken to get the works completed.
Navigation will be open as normal on Wednesdays and weekends.
Customers will only be held up for a maximum of 4 hours whilst we are on site.
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays the navigation will be closed between 09:00 and 12:00, and 13:00 and 16:00.
This will allow passage through this section in the early morning, midday and the afternoon/evenings.
