Description
The towpath along the Slough Arm between Thorne Lane Bridge and Trout Lane Footbridge has been closed for the safety of towpath visitors due to the failure of a clean water main in its vicinity. A large capacity water main leading away from the Affinity Water managed Iver North Water Treatment Works has failed at the crest of an earth bank adjacent to the towpath. Until the water leak can be stopped and any impact on the earth bank assessed the towpath will have to remain closed.
