Description
Please be aware that due to an ongoing fire near to the canal on nearby property the navigation has been closed between Lock 8 and Lock 5. The fire brigade have placed booms across the canal to prevent any pollution from the run off and also to pump water from the canal to aid there efforts in dealing with the blaze. We apologise for any delays and will update you once more information is released from fire command.
Updates
The fire brigade are standing down there operations and have allowed the canal to be re-opened. Thank you for your patience whilst they dealt with the incident.
