Description
Greenwood lock closed due to blockage on the tailgate towpath side gate paddle, and the lock cannot fill.
This notification will be updated by 5 pm tomorrow, following reactive works.
Updates
We can confirm that divers have attended site and a temporary repair has been carried out, the Navigation is now open for passage.
The tail paddle is out of action but the lock works off one gate and can be opened fully.
9/6/2024Please be aware that the navigation in this area, will remain closed until further notice.
The dive team will be on site tomorrow, Friday 6th September.
This notice will be update no later than 16:00 the same day.
9/5/2024We can confirm that a dive team will be on site on Friday, 6th September, to carry out an investigation into the issues with the downstream gate paddle. It is believed that there is an obstruction in this area of the gate. It is hoped that the dive team will be able remove this obstruction.
