Description
Please be advised that navigation is currently closed at Saltersford Lock on the Weaver Navigation. An obstruction at the bottom of the gate is preventing it from closing fully, which means the lock cannot be operated safely. Our engineers are working on a plan to rectify the problem.
We will provide an update on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024.

We are pleased to advise Saltersford Lock on the Weaver Navigation is now open following a successful removal of the obstruction at the bottom of the gate.
9/5/2024Please be advised that navigation remains closed at Saltersford Lock on the Weaver Navigation due to an obstruction at the bottom of the gate, which is preventing it from closing fully, which means the lock cannot be operated safely.
Tomorrow, divers and our teams will be on-site to Inspect and assess Saltersford Lock, by which time we hope to have a better understanding of the repair timescales.

This closure is necessary to allow specialised divers to conduct an inspection and assess the lock gate to make sure there is no damage .
We will provide a further update on Wednesday 4 September 2024.
