Description
A tree has been reported blocking the navigation between Naburn lock and Selby rail bridge.
We are investigating the location of this hazard and arranging contractors to remove.
We will update this Notice by 16:00 on 27/8/24
Updates
We are pleased to advise that the fallen tree has now been removed from the waterway and it is now open.
8/29/2024Further to the original notice, the tree remains in situ for the time being.
Heavy plant is required to remove the tree from the river. Due to the nature of the area and fast flowing of the river, this is proving a difficult undertaking.
As such, the navigation remains closed until the tree can be removed. An update will be provided no later than 16:00 on Monday 2nd September.
