Description
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Bridge Lock 2 and South View Road Bridge, Dee Branch, Shropshire Union Canal from Monday 2 September 2024 until Monday 23 September 2024 to paint a third-party owned pipe bridge.
To be able to carry out these works, scaffolding will be installed to the bridge which will restrict the height. Signage displaying the restricted height will be in place once the scaffolding is in place. Boats that have a canopy will need to lower or remove it before going under the bridge.
Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, there might be a short delay for boaters and towpath users to allow the third-party contractors make way for a safe passage until the scaffolding is erected.
We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors on site.
