Description
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between City Road Bridge 123B and Seller Street Bridge 123C on the Shropshire Union Canal, from 26th August 2024 until 25th September 2024, to undertake emergency repairs to a collapsed sewer.
To be able to maintain a safe working environment, the towpath will be closed during these works, but Canal Side Road will remain open for pedestrians.
Whilst this will not impact on canal navigation, there will be a pontoon moored against the towpath, this is to protect boaters from slue from an excavator. We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite. There will be some restrictions to the moorings near to Bridge 123B for safety reasons.
