Description
Please be advised the towpath will be restricted from Field End Bridge, Bridge 169 in Stainton to Nelson's Bridge, Bridge 153 in Holme on the Lancaster Canal due to towpath surface improvement works taking place starting Tuesday 27 August at 8.00am.
During the works the towpath will remain open with access points, barriers and signage being installed either end. A banksman will also be on site to escort pedestrians and cyclist safely through the work area.
A further update will be provided Friday 04 October.

Please be advised of the ongoing towpath restriction between Field End Bridge, Bridge 169 in Stainton to Nelson's Bridge, Bridge 153 in Holme on the Lancaster Canal due to towpath surface improvement works which are still under going.
Throughout the works the towpath will continue to remain open with access points, barriers and signage being present either end. A banksman will also be on site to escort pedestrians and cyclist safely through the work area.
The restriction will be in place until Friday 20 December when all work is due to finish and the path fully opened.
