Description
We are pleased to welcome Monument Marathon 2024 organised by The Sunneywood Project who are holding a long-distance walking/running event on Saturday 31 August between 11.00am and 6.00pm.
This event will take place between two sections of the towpath, between Bridge 18, Within's Bridge, and Wellington Street and Bridge 17E, Whittaker's Road Bridge, and Private Bridge on Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal.
The towpaths will remain open although we anticipate that it will be busier than usual, so please exercise caution when walking through the area in which the event is taking place.
