Description

We have low water between Dockholme Lock and Sandicare Lock on the Erewash Canal as a result of lock gates being left open.

We are currently running water down, and working to bring the water levels back up as quickly as possible. We will update this notice by 4pm today or as soon as we have further information.

Please do not travel between Dockholme Lock and Sandiacre Lock until water level return to normal.

Updates

Levels have now recovered between Dockholme Lock and Sandiacre Lock on the Erewash Canal. Levels have now recovered in this area.

We have continued to run water today, but due to limited water supply and other complications, the levels still remain low between Dockholme Lock and Sandiacre Lock.

We aim to have the navigation back to normal levels by the end of the day tomorrow, and will update the notice by 4pm or as soon as we have further information.

Unfortunately, boaters are still unable to travel along this section until the water levels are back to normal.

7/26/2024

We have been running water all day, but due to limited water supply the levels still remain low between Dockholme Lock and Sandiacre Lock.

We will be back on site first thing tomorrow to continue bringing the water levels back up and will update this notice by 4pm tomorrow or as soon as we have more information.

Unfortunately, boaters are still unable to travel along this section until the water levels are back to normal.
