Please be advised Glasson Flight on the Lancaster Canal is closed to navigation due to low water.
Our local team are working to refill the canal and we expect it to take some time.
A further update will be provided by tomorrow, Tuesday 23 July.
Updates
With water levels on the Lancaster Canal now improving, we're pleased to announce that the Glasson Flight is now fully open. Our teams will continue to closely monitor the water levels, and should any issues arise, we may need to close the flight at short notice. We want to thank our boating customers for their patience and understanding during this time.
8/30/2024With water levels on the Lancaster Canal improving, the Glasson Flight will need to remain closed for this week as our teams continue to work hard to get the water levels back to normal. We plan to reopen the flight on Monday, 2nd September. We want to thank our boating customers for your patience and understanding during this time.
We will provide a further update on 30th August.
8/23/2024With water levels on the Lancaster Canal still remaining low, the Glasson Flight will need to stay closed for now as our teams work hard to raise the levels north of the breach. Restoring things to normal will take some time, but we're making progress.
