Description
We are pleased to welcome The Crooklands Canalaton multi-sport event, organised by Lancaster Canal Regeneration Partnership CIC on Sunday 31st August on the Lancaster Canal.
The event will use a section of the towpath and navigation starting from Stainton Crossing Bridge 172, and the finish point will be Old Hall Bridge 167, this will include marshalling throughout the route.
Around 160 people are expected to take part and the event will run from 8:00am and 5:00pm with paddle boarding and running only being taken place on Trust land.
Please be aware mooring restrictions will be in place during the event.
We ask all boaters to slow down when approaching the area and be aware of other canal users.
The towpath will remain open although we anticipate that it will be busier than usual, so please exercise caution when walking through the area in which the event is taking place.
