Description
We've had to temporarily close the towpath at Bridge 57 on the Trent & Mersey Canal in Rugeley. A concrete wall has moved and has been deemed unsafe, so we have taken the decision to close it immediately.
There is a simple diversion route in place. Please use the access at the top of Bridge 57 to cross over the road, to then access the canal towpath again. Fencing and signage will be in place.
Our Engineers will attend site and come up with a repair plan. We'll provide a further update as soon as we receive an update from them.
