Description
Please be advised there is a scheme of refurbishments at the former Joules Brewery building in Stone on the offside of the canal. A large scaffold will be installed on the offside and will overhang the canal, but the canal and towpath will remain open.
Please approach with caution and follow any instructions given by the contractors, especially during installation and removal of the scaffolding. The works are on the offside opposite TM-073-007 Stone Boat Building Chandlery L5 Mooring. The boats can remain in place but there may be some additional noise during the works.
Updates
The refurbishment is experiencing lengthy delays due to the various elements of the works taking longer than planned.
Completion is currently scheduled for 31st January 2025.
10/23/2024These works have now had to be extended due to the scaffolding installation taking longer than expected and this has pushed the program of works back.
10/15/2024Please be advised works will now be taking place from Tuesday 28 May 2024 to Friday 11 October 2024.
