Description
We are sorry to advise of the imminent closure of Bathampton waste site.
This site will close on Monday 11th March 2024.
The fly tipping that is occurring at this site is unsustainable and has made it unfit for purpose.
The nearest waste compounds from Bathampton are:
East: Dundas 2.5 Miles
West: Lock 11 Horseshoe Bridge 2 Miles
This land belongs to Bath and North East Somerset Council - please do not leave waste here after the final collection.

Updates
Our boating customers will be aware of issues with the bin store at Bathampton after the local council issued a legal notice requesting its closure.
We are very pleased to update you that the bin store, which is essential for boaters, will remain open.
In order to provide a better service we have switched contractors. A minor issue last week has now been resolved and the new contractors are emptying the bins.
We're keen for you to let us know if you spot any fly tipping. Please get in touch if you see this and we'll take the required action.

5/29/2024On Friday 24th May the Trust will be changing contractors for removal of waste from Bathampton bin area. Our current contractor Biffa will be removing their bins and the new contractor will be installing their bins.
The Trust is pleased that, with agreement from Bath & North East Somerset Council, we are able to keep the bin store at Bathampton open for use by boaters on the Kennet & Avon Canal.
