Description
Due to a Hydraulic leak on both upstream sluices, the lock is closed until a full repair can be carried out.
This repair will require other resources such as divers and a lifting equipment.
We are currently sourcing these resources, this notice will be updated no later than 14th February.
Updates
Divers have completed repair works and the navigation is now open.
3/7/2024Divers will be on-site today to repair the sluices.
A navigation closure will be in place whilst works are being carried out.
We are expecting completion by 4pm, we will update this notice if this changes.
3/7/2024The lock is back in operation, the hydraulic issue has been rectified on the near side sluice,
More work will be required in the future to repair the offside sluice, involving divers and the crane boat,
We will issue a notice when works have been confirmed.
2/21/2024We will be looking into planning a start date for works to repair the hydraulic leak when the crane boat will be able to travel to the locality, this will be following the completion of the gate replacement at Long Sandall (23rd February)
We will update this notice no later than Monday 26th February.
