Description
The River Soar has gone into flood. Boaters are advised not to travel along this section until further notice

Water levels have now come down and the navigation is open. Boaters can proceed as normal. Please note the section betweenKings Lock and Freeman's Meadow Lock is still closed. 2/26/2024CAUTION STRONG STREAMS
We advise users of all boats not to navigate the Grand Union Canal from Kings Lock, through to the River Soar at Redhill Lock because the strong flows make it difficult and dangerous (Locks may be closed).
