Please be advised that due to a build up of silt from the recent floods, the top gates at Hanham Lock are jammed and currently inoperable.
Contractors have been informed, and we will update this notice when the repair has been facilitated.

Updates
We are pleased to announce that the dredging at Hanham Lock, Lock 1 is complete, having removed over 700 tonnes of silt.

5/10/2024Dredging at Hanham Lock, Lock 1 will begin tomorrow but the silt build up at that location has been significant and it is anticipated that the work to render the navigation passable will not be completed until Wednesday 1st May 2024 at the earliest.
