Description

Due to rainfall overnight and the predicted rain on its way, all flood locks and gates are now closed.

The flood lock and gates that are closed are;

Anchor Pit

Cooper Bridge

Battyeford Cut End

Ledgard

Greenwood

Thornes Lock

These are not likely to re-open today, and will be monitored throughout the rest of the weekend, re-opening at the earliest opportunity.

The met office has issued weather warning with Storm Isha on the way.

The following flood gates/locks are now open:

Greenwood Flood Gates

Longcut/Thornhill Flood Lock

Thornes Flood Lock

Wakefield Flood Lock

Please consult the Strong Stream Warning marker boards and markers at flood locks/gates before venturing into the river sections of the navigation.
