Description
We've had to temporarily close the towpath between Avenue Road Bridge and Rocky Lane Bridge, Aston, on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal. A third party wall has been deemed unsafe and in danger of collapsing, so we have taken the decision to close it immediately. We will endeavour to make contact with the owners of the wall, and we'll share any further updates as soon as we receive them.

1/29/2025The towpath will need to remain closed here as the wall next to the access steps is still deemed unsafe. We are continuing to work with the owners of the wall, so we can get the towpath opened as soon as possible.
