Description
Please be advised that due to the recent floods, Widmead Lock 89 has sustained damage to the offside internal wall.
Repairs will be undertaken once river levels have dropped.
We will update this notice when the repair has been completed.
In the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience & invite customers to contact the Customer Service Team on 03030404040 or at enquiries.walessouthwest@canalrivertrust.org.uk should there be any specific questions regarding this notice.

Further to the notice below, we are pleased to advise that the canal is now open to navigation at Widmead Lock. However, please be aware that work continues at the site and we ask that customers proceed with caution.

5/24/2024Further to the notice below, contractors continue to work at the lock after the recent flooding.
The collapsed inner wall has now been removed and oak fendering is now being installed.
We will update this notice when the repair has been completed.
