We are pleased to advise our local team have successfully completed the works at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle and navigation can resume between Lock 65 Alfred Street, and Lock 80 Coal Pit Lower on the Rochdale Canal.

We are pleased to advise our local team have been conducting work through the week and have successfully completed localised repairs at Lock 65, Alfred Street on the Rochdale Canal.

Our contractors have now finished the grouting work at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle, this allows our local team to commence onsite next week to complete the final stages of the subsidence repair.

A further progress update will be provided by Friday 1 March.

Whilst work is progressing well at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle on the Rochdale Canal, our contractors are required to return next week to complete further grouting works. Once the grouting works are complete our local team will commence on site to undertake the repair into the subsidence.

Our investigations continue at Lock 65, Alfred Street, we're hopeful to have established a method of repair, and have a better understanding of the timeline for this closure within the next week.

A further update will be provided Friday 23 February.

Our contractors have commenced on site, and grouting work is progressing well at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle on the Rochdale Canal.

Following the grouting work our local team will undertake a repair into the subsidence which is scheduled to take place week commencing Monday 19 February.

However, whilst on site our engineers have carried out a review of the locks in the area, and have identified a similar issue at Lock 65, Alfred Street, investigations into this will be conducted next week by our engineers and local team, and a method of repair will be facilitated once the work at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle is completed.

A further update will be provided Friday 16 February.

Our Engineers have now completed the design phase and established a method of repair for the subsidence that's taken place at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle on the Rochdale Canal.

We're currently in the process of liaising with third party specialist contractors and ordering the necessary materials required to undertake the works.

Our contractors are scheduled to commence on site Tuesday 6 February.

We will provide a further update on progress by Friday 9 February.

Our Engineers have conducted the initial investigations into the substantial subsidence that's taken place at Lock 67, Tannersfield Middle, we're now in the process of establishing the cause and we're developing a suitable methodology for the repair.

We anticipate the design and repair of these works to take some time, and we're hopeful to be able to share a clear timeframe in the coming weeks.
